Dr. Lorei received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He trained in New York at the Lenox Hill Hospital and subsequently completed a fellowship in joint replacement surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery. In 1999, Dr. Lorei received his certification from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Prior to joining Orthopaedic Specialists, Dr. Lorei was a member of the orthopaedic surgery faculty at Temple University Hospital, where he ran the Joint Replacement Program. He has been practicing in Bryn Mawr for the past 5 years and has joined the teaching staff of Jefferson Medical College where he is Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Dr. Lorei is a joint replacement consultant for the Philadelphia Shriner’s Hospital, and is one of the region’s experts in joint replacement surgery. He has a special interest in minimally invasive surgery as well as complex joint reconstruction procedures.

Dr. Lorei also has a strong interest in fractures and joint injuries. He is facile in arthroscopic knee surgery and manages many of the most difficult fractures.
